Dallas bound

Off to Dallas this afternoon for a couple of days...working with colleagues and figuring out next steps...What do we need to do in the new media world. Have signed up for twitter and facebook recently, and am learning more about those tools to see how to use them. Enjoying the process...

Italian memories

A classic sculpture from the Vatican museum-Bacchus celebrating the harvest, and enjoying a bit of the grape. My friend James and I spent over 2 weeks touring the countryside, agriturismo style. What a collection of art inside the museum. After seeing all of this I could understand how the excesses of the church led to the reformation.

First Posting

Well, here goes. I have wanted to do this for some time, but have been really busy and not had the time. New job, pregnant wife, etc.

I want to salute all the bloggers I have been reading for the last 6 months, and plan to post links to those site which in my opinion offer a lot to the reader.

I guess the best place to start is to define the purpose of my blog.

1. Report on what I see happening in the wine industry
2. Use it as a repository for info obtained in my vinous studies
3. Use it as a vehicle to share all things wine with friends
4. Use it to record the important and not so important things happening in my life

We'll see how it goes....Stay tuned.
